About the School

Principal: Mrs Ntshingila

Jobstown Primary is located in a remote area in the north of the Madadeni Township. Each day its pupils must walk for many miles to reach the school, some are transported by local taxi buses.

The school has over 1,100 pupils enrolled, its classrooms are often overcrowded with limited resources to share. Former Principal, Mr Mkhize, previously converted it’s library into an additional classroom to help accommodate their pupils. The money raised from the 2016 Choir Tour was split equally between the participating schools and Jobstown used their share of the funds to support the building of new classrooms giving their pupils a more comfortable and spacious learning environment.

Funds raised from the 2023 choir tour have been used to build a multi-purpose classroom which has three main sections: a library, interactive learning area for Grade R, and a science laboratory. The classroom is well-stocked with laptops, a projector, books, science materials and early learning resources.
