Jobstown Primary School

Jobstown Primary School is located in a remote area in the northeast of the Madadeni Township. Many learners travel long distances to reach the school each day, either on foot or by minibus taxi. With over 1,100 learners enrolled across Grades R-7, aged 4-13 years, it is one of the largest primary schools in the Project Zulu partnership.

Using funds raised through the 2016 Choir Tour, the school invested in additional classrooms to help reduce overcrowding. More recently, funds raised through the 2023 Choir Tour supported the development of a multi-purpose learning space incorporating a library, a Grade R interactive learning area and a science laboratory. Equipped with laptops, a projector, books, science materials and early learning resources, the facility has expanded opportunities for teaching and learning across the school.
