Phendukani High School

Phendukani High School is our first partner high school, a full service school which caters for pupils aged 12 to 18 including pupils with additional needs. With almost 1700 pupils on roll from grades 8 to 12, it is our largest partner school. Located in the heart of the Madadeni Township the school receives pupils from several of our existing partner primary schools.

We have been working in partnership with Phendukani since 2017, running History, Geography and Tourism curriculum field trips, working with teachers and pupils to tell the story of 19th Century Anglo-Zulu conflict from Zulu perspectives. In 2019 we began a new project in which UWE Bristol Business School students ran a young enterprise scheme to encourage and develop entrepreneurship among pupils.
